8 Questions you need to ask yourself if you are planning to implement an ERP.

  • 1 Are you budgeting correctly for your ERP implementation?

Factor in customization, hosting, License costs and not just the implementation cost.

  • 2 Are we solving today’s problems or futureproofing?

Ensure your ERP strategy addresses both immediate issues and long-term requirements.

  • 3 Is your data clean and structured for migration?

Identify and resolve any duplicates, gaps, or inconsistencies in existing data.

  • 4 Have you mapped out every department’s requirement?

List all departments and what modules (CRM, Purchase, Accounting etc.) they would be using in the ERP system.

  • 5 Do you have the right internal team in place?

Confirm you have assigned key people in each department to ensure proper adoption.

  • 6 Are you ready for the culture shift?

Recognize that an ERP rollout affects workflows and roles; plan to manage change and resistance.

  • 7 Are you budgeting for post-implementation support?

Factor in ongoing training, maintenance, and support costs beyond the initial deployment.

  • 8 What KPIs will define your ERP success?

Set measurable goals and performance indicators to evaluate whether the ERP meets expectations.
